Bullseye in the agent age: test every channel cheap, then bet on just one

Desde el escritorio · por qué importa

Agents have collapsed the cost of building, which means distribution is now the whole game — and the discipline for it was written down in 2015.

Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares open with an uncomfortable diagnosis: founders sink nearly all their effort into product because product feels like progress, then wonder why nobody shows up. Their prescription is mechanical on purpose. Half your effort goes to distribution from day one. There are nineteen acquisition channels, most of which you're ignoring out of bias, not evidence. The Bullseye method forces honesty: brainstorm every channel, run cheap parallel tests on the plausible few, then concentrate everything on the single channel that demonstrably moves the numbers. Channels saturate, so you repeat the loop as they decay.

The testing ring of Bullseye used to cost weeks of founder time; agents compress it to days. One agent drafts the cold outreach, another audits the SEO surface, a third stands up a channel-specific landing page — nineteen experiments stop being aspirational. But cheap tests create a new failure mode Weinberg and Mares never had to warn about: running everything forever because nothing costs enough to force a choice. The concentration step is the part agents can't do. Reading messy results honestly and killing eighteen channels is judgment work, and it's now most of the founder's job.

Llévate esto a tu agente
  • distribution deserves more than half your attention once agents do the building
  • let agents run the outer test ring in parallel and cheap
  • the human's job is the bullseye — pick one channel and concentrate.
