When Your Agent Fleet Ships Fast, Who's Discovering What's True?

Desde el escritorio · por qué importa

Cagan's core warning lands harder when agents can execute faster than any team can think — output velocity is not the same as product value, and now you have no excuse to confuse the two.

Inspired, Marty Cagan's foundational text for product practitioners, makes a single relentless argument: most companies build a roadmap full of features no one needed, then wonder why growth stalls. The remedy is an empowered team doing continuous discovery — talking to customers, testing assumptions, and validating that something is valuable, usable, feasible, and viable before the machinery of delivery swallows the calendar whole. Output is the enemy of outcome.

Agents collapse the feasibility question almost entirely — your agents can build nearly anything you specify, which means the dangerous constraint shifts to discovery. Nobody is slowing down to learn whether the thing is worth specifying. Cagan's framework demands that someone on your team holds the outcome accountability that an agent structurally cannot — not because agents lack capability but because they lack skin in the game. The human judgment Cagan describes as the product manager's core responsibility is now the only bottleneck that actually matters in an AI-native studio.

Llévate esto a tu agente
  • Discovery discipline matters more when delivery is cheap, not less
  • feasibility is no longer your hard constraint — value and viability are
  • outcome ownership must be assigned to a human explicitly, because agents will optimize whatever proxy metric you hand them.
