The playbook

How we build the work, not just the software.

Anyone can build a tool now. What can’t be copied overnight is how the work actually gets done — knowing what to build, what to automate, what to keep human, and how to earn trust. That’s a judgment problem, and judgment doesn’t come in the box.

The principles

Three rules we design around.

  1. Agents do the work

Software that plans, builds, and operates — not just assists from the sidelines.

  2. Humans hold judgment

Taste, tradeoffs, accountability, and the final call stay with people.

  3. Trust is designed in

Bounded autonomy, evals, and safeguards built in from day one — not bolted on.

We don’t think you should hand everything to an autopilot. We design how the work runs — agents doing it, you keeping the judgment and the final say — and the result is something people can actually trust.

What we do

We take the work on — and stay to run it.

Every business has work like this — expensive, repeatable, quietly eating the week. We find yours, build what actually does it, and stay to run it with you — agents carrying the load, you keeping the judgment. Not one more tool to manage: the work, off your plate.

We start smaller than you might expect — one piece of work, taken on end to end, and run until it earns the next. No leap of faith required. We only win when you do.

What we’re building now — the ventures — and the journal we keep along the way — the Observatory.

How it goes

From work you carry to work that runs.

  1. Start with the work

One piece of it — expensive, repeatable, well understood. The kind that eats a week and shouldn’t.

  2. Take it on

We learn how it’s really done today, then build what does it — with you holding the judgment calls.

  3. Stay and run it

We watch it, tune it, answer for it — and take on more only as it proves out.

What we don’t do

A real thesis has a no.

  • One-off builds we hand off and walk away from.
  • AI audits that end in advice, not a working product.
  • More software for you to manage.
  • Demos that impress in a meeting and disappear in production.

The problem you understand better than anyone — or the work your team shouldn’t still be doing by hand. One message. If there’s something real in it, we’ll tell you — and how we’d take it on.
